1) Mission of this section of the site
a) To raise awareness of the Turner Valley Gas Plant
b) To advertise the real tour
c) To allow hearing impaired people to pre-read prior to a real tour
d) To provide tie-ins and background to other sections of the site
e) To raise awareness of Provincial Government involvement

2) How is this section constructed
a) Sequential: just as if somebody transcribed a tape recording of a typical tour and took pictures of the items the guides pointed to.
b) Database driven: Links from other parts of the site allow jumping to related parts of the virtual tour to give the tour more exposure. Links from the tour to glossaries and background info will allow the tour texts to be brief and exciting, but be layered on top of detail info that would make the tour tedious and boring for most visitors.

3) What is still required:(as of July 5/2004)
a) Tour text: Tape recording of a typical tour or transcript in plain text
b) Tour pictures: regular digital pictures or photos. We can re-take pictures that are not good enough, as long as they identify the view.
c) Map of the gas plant area with chapter / picture numbers marked in. The regular tourist hand-out map is ideal for that.
d) FAQ-1 Frequently asked serious questions and answers. Plain text
e) FAQ-2 Collection of the silliest questions heard on tours, and answers. Plain text.
f) Footnotes and backgrounds: Any background information connected to the gas plant in general and the tour in particular.
