Absorption Towers – Ten absorbers in which absorption oil going in at the top and out at the bottom and out at the top – the gas rises as the liquid falls. The oil absorbs condensable vapor from the gas. These are driven out of the oil by heat in a still and the condensed into liquid gasoline (petrol) which we find very useful for easy
Starting of automobile engine in the sub-zero weather of Dec, Jan and Feb. Of course it is blended with heavier stocks
The towers are 36” dia and about 60 ft high. of riveted steel construction and aluminum painted.
The “Horn’s Eye View” gives a more realistic conception of their proportions than does
The usual horizontal “Human’s Eye View”
