Stan - administration at Turner Valley called Jim to inquire what we did with the
$100,000 that Cononco Phillips donated to us. Marj as secretary treasurer, was at the meeting with them years ago and she doesn’t remember this taking place. Suggests going through old books. Marj remembers getting $8000 from Gulf Oil. Sharlene will speak with Dick Toews to see if he remembers anything about it. Barb suggests that we request that Turner Valley have Cononco contact Jim directly and try and fish information from them. If they don’t have the cancelled cheque see if they are ready to give us the money now. Jim and Maureen will go through the old files.
Dingman #2 sign that blew down is now repaired and as soon as Alfred Frick has the time it will go back up.
Possible Project - Walking Tour = Local history. Sharlene suggests getting the project together and taking it to the new councils for their support.
Jim has had a call regarding someone telling the history of the area for a tour group, Jim suggested David Finch. David has taken them out and they were pleased.
Meeting adjourned 8:15PM
