The current controversy regarding the water is related to RAW water and not your drinking water. The Town of Black Diamond wants you to know that your drinking water is safe for consumption.
The Town of Black Diamond tests your drinking water every week for bacteria and semi-annually for heavy metals.
However, if you are one of the few residents in the town who is NOT on the town water supply it is recommended that you have your well water tested but bear in mind that the tests that have been conducted on the raw water in the area do no contain any levels that are above normal, acceptable levels. In fact all reported levels are well below acceptable limits. If you have any questions on the water or the water tests that are being conducted, please call the Town Office at 933-4348.
You can arrange to have your water tested for bacterial content by calling Diane Huffman at the Health Unit at 933-8505. A small charge of $5 will apply to cover the courier costs.
